Services
Clark County Fire District 5 continues to be a strong community presence, as it has since 1954.
In 1994 Fire District 5 consolidated fire and medical response with the City of Vancouver Fire Department. In effect, all Fire District personnel, property and equipment ownership were transferred to the City in Vancouver.
Property taxes continue to be collected by Fire District 5 and through a contract for services with the Vancouver Fire Department, transfer funds to VFD paying for emergency services for the citizens of Fire District 5. The elected Fire District 5 Board of Fire Commissioners oversee the financial health of the Fire District, the service contract with the City of Vancouver, and the operations of the district-owned, Northwest Regional Training Center.
Consistent with its long history, Fire District 5 provides public safety education presentations, seminars and workshops on a variety of topics. Reaching out to the community, the Fire District provides many free services, such as address signs and smoke alarms. Partnering with area school districts, other fire agencies, state and local governments, Fire District 5 consistently delivers fire and injury prevention, and disaster preparedness messages for today's world.
Currently, Fire District 5 owns and occupies a building that houses the offices of the Fire District and the Northwest Regional Training Center. Fire District offices are located at 11606 NE 66th St, in Vancouver.
